Spire Solar to Provide EMMVEE Solar Systems with a PV Module Line

Spire Corp (SPIR) announced that it has executed a contract to provide EMMVEE Solar Systems Private Limited, Bangalore, India, with a SPI-LINE(TM) 5000M. Spire's advanced photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing production line includes automated equipment for solar cell stringing and lay-up, lamination, module testing, and related training. EMMVEE Solar Systems selected Spire Corporation as their production line supplier based on Spire's proven experience, the quality of its equipment, and its training program. Shipment of the production line is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2005.

Medis Technologies Signs Cooperation Agreement with Major U.S. Mobile Operator

Medis Technologies Ltd. (MDTL) announced that it has entered into a Cooperation Agreement with one of the largest mobile operators in the United States, for the purposes of market testing and introduction to the market of Medis' fuel cell Power Packs as a secondary power source for portable electronic devices offered by the mobile operator. ENDESA Starts up Its Biggest Wind Farm Complex in Spain

The Carballeira wind farm, constructed by ENDESA (ELE) subsidiary, Endesa Cogeneracion y Renovables (ECYR), has been connected to the grid. This completes the construction of the group's largest wind farm complex, which also includes the Bustelo and Faladoira plants, located in the area of As Pontes (A Coruna) and Xermade (Lugo). FuelCell Energy Introduces Modular Sub-Megawatt Direct FuelCell Power Plant

Fuelcell Energy Inc (FCEL) announced it has successfully incorporated design changes to the 250-kilowatt (kW) Direct FuelCell® (DFC®) power plant resulting in a 25 percent cost reduction as previously announced. This is part of FuelCell Energy's rolling three-year cost-out program that targets a 20-25 percent cost reduction per year.
