FuelCell Energy Dedicates Manhattan's First High Temperature Fuel Cell at Starwood's Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers
Fuelcell Energy Inc (FCEL) dedicated a DFC300A power plant to provide electricity and hot water for the Sheraton brand's flagship property of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT - News), part of Starwood's commitment to green energy practices.
The environmentally-friendly 250-kilowatt Direct FuelCell® (DFC®) power plant will provide approximately 10 percent of the hotel's electricity and hot water and supply back-up electricity for a segment of the 1,750-room Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in midtown Manhattan. [ more ]
